Provider finder neutrality policy
PDBHAI's provider discovery tool is governed by neutrality principles designed to protect families from commercial bias, paid placement, and preferential routing.
Core finder commitments
These commitments apply to any PDBHAI provider discovery tool or resource directory, present or future.
No paid placement
Providers are never ranked, boosted, or featured because they pay PDBHAI. Placement in the finder is based on public data, not commercial relationship.
No lead selling
PDBHAI does not sell, share, or transfer family contact information to providers, brokers, or commercial platforms for compensation.
No Harbor preference
Providers who use Harbor — the commercial platform operated by a related party — receive no preferential placement, ranking, or routing in the PDBHAI finder.
Public-source data only
Finder listings draw from publicly available sources such as state licensure databases and AHCA facility data. Provider-submitted corrections are reviewed before publication.
No eligibility or endorsement
Appearing in the PDBHAI finder is not an endorsement, recommendation, clinical review, or eligibility determination. Families must contact providers and verify information independently.
Corrections accepted
Providers and families can request corrections or updates to finder listings through our public correction process. All corrections are reviewed by PDBHAI editorial staff.
What the PDBHAI finder does not do
The finder does not determine
- Whether a child is eligible for a specific provider
- Whether a provider has availability for a new child
- Whether a payer will approve services at a provider
- Clinical appropriateness for a specific child
- Quality ratings or outcomes data
The finder does not guarantee
- Accuracy of listing information at any given time
- Completeness of the provider database
- Current licensure status of any provider
- Provider acceptance of a specific payer or plan
- Provider capacity or enrollment openings
What families should do after using the finder
The finder is a starting point, not a complete answer. After identifying a provider through the PDBHAI finder, families should:
Contact the provider directly
Confirm that the center is currently licensed, accepting new inquiries, and can support your child's specific needs.
Talk with your child's physician
Ask whether the provider is clinically appropriate for your child and what documentation a referral would require.
Verify coverage with your payer
Confirm that the provider accepts your child's payer, what authorization is required, and what documentation the payer needs.
Ask the provider about their intake process
A strong PPEC center will explain what documents are needed, who assists with the physician order and plan of care, and how the authorization process works.
If you see inaccurate, outdated, or missing information in the PDBHAI finder or any resource page, please use our correction process. Providers may also request that their own listing information be updated. Submit a correction request →
